Prepare and boil potatoes (enough for 4 people), in a pan heat baked beans and onions until onions have softened, add mushrooms, heat right through, mash poataoes with butter and milk.

Place beans mixture in a casserole dish, top with mash, fork top, grate over cheese and top with sliced tomato. bake in oven for 25 mins.

serve with sausages or bacon and an uncut loaf. cheap and cheerful but very homely and comforting for a family on a tight budget.
